It is possible to participate in SUP courses with an instructor through an external supplier. Please note that a minimum of five participants is required.

Is Danhostel Skanderborg a hotel?

Many of our guests say that we are a budget-friendly hotel. As a hostel, we offer good rooms with TV, Wi-Fi, a bathroom, and toilet in every room. All rooms have access to our guest kitchen. In our cabins, we even offer a kitchen and a small living room with a sofa and TV.

Are pets allowed?

We offer a limited number of cabins and rooms for guests with dogs.

Are you sustainable?

Using solar panels and air-to-air systems helps to reduce energy consumption and reduce CO2 emissions, which is important for preserving the environment. It is also positive to offer organic products in the kitchen, as it promotes health and sustainable food production.

Such initiatives demonstrate our commitment to caring for nature and preserving it for future generations. We also hold the bronze organic food label.

What is the organic food label?

We are happy to announce that Danhostel Skanderborg has achieved the coveted bronze organic dining label! This prestigious label symbolizes our dedication to sustainability and quality in our dining offerings.

The label requires that at least 30-60% of the ingredients we use are organic, and we are proud to have met and even exceeded this standard. We are now striving to achieve the Silver Organic Food Label, which requires 60-90% of our ingredients to be organic.

What is the difference between a hotel and a hostel?

A hostel is generally cheaper than a hotel. We offer more budget-friendly accommodation, without compromising on quality.

Danhostel has shared facilities such as guest kitchens, common living rooms and dining areas. This gives our guests the opportunity to cook their own meals and save money on restaurant visits. It is also a great opportunity to meet other travelers from all over the world and make social connections.

A Danhostel often has a more relaxed and social atmosphere. Guests are typically open to interacting with each other, which can lead to interesting encounters and new friendships. This can definitely be an advantage if you want to meet people during your trip.

We offer access to 4 electric charging stations.

Is Danhostel Skanderborg close to the city centre?

Danhostel Skanderborg offers accommodation close to Skanderborg city centre. The hostel is located approx. 2.5 km from Skanderborg train station, 1.7 km from Sløngel playground in the city centre, and only 24 km from Aarhus C and 17 km. from Nordstern Arena (formerly Casa Arena) in Horsens.

We are located in Skanderborg's beech forest, 20 meters from Skanderborg bunker and 0 meters to the beach.
