Every form of group is welcome here at us. We will handle all the catering and necessity, so there is time for your group to enjoy the historical buildings, nature and each other’s company. We have direct access to the lake, where, if you are lucky, you may be able to spot the white-tailed eagle.
A bit on Danhostel Skanderborg:
In the beech forests of Skanderborg, Luftwaffe had their Danish headquarters established during the Second World War. The German Luftwaffe settled in Skanderborg Animal gardens, where they build a large number of wooden houses and concrete bunkers to house the various departments of the headquarters. The barracks were generally built of the boards, but the officer’ fair was built of solid wooden beams, which were imported to Denmark, presumably from Belgium. The house was built in the spring of 1944 and was until May 1945 Officer’s Casino, where the officers got their meals. They could also spend their free time in the beautiful building from which there is a nice view of the lake. The soldiers left the site in early summer 1945.

The rooms can accommodate from one and up to 4 people – the more people per room, the lower the price per room. Our cabins can accommodate up to 6 people, one of which is a double bed.

Danhostel Skanderborg is only 25 min. by car from Aarhus that offers a wealth of possibilities. We sell tickets to the Old Town, and or visit the street, at the top of Aros Art Museum or Moesgaard Museum is clearly recommended. Get in touch, and we can help you plan your trip.
